We are looking for candidates with experience in similar positions (housekeeping supervisor, steward, stewardess) and an eye for detail and organizational flair. The ability to provide direction, support and guidance to their team and coordinate housekeeping and laundry operations is what sets the Executive Housekeeper apart. Their priority is ensuring that cabins and all public areas are kept impeccably clean at all times and that any repairs are carried out promptly. The Executive Housekeeper demonstrates professionalism and excellent communication skills, and is a good role model for subordinates. They are able to resolve challenges with calmness and ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to.
Requirements:
- at least 3 years of experience in the housekeeping department
- experience as a Housekeeper
- good sense of cleanliness
- supervisory skills
- good command of English
- experience on ships is a plus
- candidates with knowledge of German are preferred
Responsibilities:
- control operations and direct staff in the housekeeping department
- equally divide cleaning activities of cabins, hallways, restrooms, corridors, reception, handrail, glass windows, lustres and decoration flowers
- inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met
- check and order supplies (linens, towels, chemicals)
- request and follow-up repair and maintenance services
