Commis de Cuisine

Galley Department · Hotel Position

Send us your CV if you are an experienced cook who takes pride in creating high quality dishes. The role of the Commis de Cuisine is to prepare hot food for ship guests and crew members, for example a “breaded & fried chicken breast stuffed with herb butter on potato parmesan ragout” or a “salad with Tarragon, grapes, goat cheese and marinated red onions”. The Commis is always professional in appearance, courteous toward guests and fellow team members, and organized and sanitary in their work. This allows them to maintain good working relationships and to contribute to maximum guest satisfaction. In addition, the Commis de Cuisine is versatile, with the ability to assist at a variety of galley stations. We are looking for candidates with experience in similar roles (chef, chef de partie, cook, pantry cook, garde manger, catering chef).

Responsibilities:

  • support the Galley team to reach common goals
  • help prepare food ingredients to deliver quality cuisine and create a superb dining experience for our guests
  • assume responsibility for the work you are entrusted with in various galley stations
  • execute various knife slices and cooking methods
  • keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
