You will have the opportunity to enhance guests experience on board. The Cabin Steward or Stewardess makes sure that the areas assigned to them are kept punctiliously clean and comfortable, and safeguards the confidentiality and security of cabins. We are looking for candidates with experience in similar positions (housekeeper, cabin cleaner, stateroom attendant, cabin cleaning staff, cabin service agent, cabin crew agent, room attendant, laundry attendant, laundry steward/ stewardess, laundry aide, laundry wash assistant, laundry worker, housekeeping attendant). On a rotating basis, you will also be in charge of the onboard laundry facilities, making sure that cabin and restaurant linen and passenger laundry are attended to promptly and returned impeccably clean and tidy.
Requirements:
- working experience as Steward/ess or Laundry attendant in a fast pace 4- to 5-star Hotel, river or ocean vessel accommodating an international clientele
- ability to communicate in English and/or German
- a European Qualification in Housekeeping or a completed apprenticeship are an advantage
Responsibilities:
- clean cabins and public areas (elevators, stairways, reception, restrooms, corridors) as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper
- supplement towels, liquid soap, toilet paper, paper napkins
- apply company hygiene and health standards and follow the procedures in cleaning all areas (mirrors, wall tiles, doors, floors)
- make an informed usage of chemicals and goods
- sort, wash, dry, iron, fold and package guest laundry, cabin linen, towels and robes and operate the necessary equipment
- verify restaurant laundry and passenger clothes for stains and follow procedures to remove them
- maintain an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire laundry room
- keep the floor, the washing and drying machines, the filters and the irons clean and in good working condition
